To activate your service, visit safelink.com/activate and enter your SIM card number and ZIP code. If you received a new phone from SafeLink, it may already be pre-activated; in that case, simply turn the phone on and make a test call. If the service doesn't work immediately, restart your device and wait a few minutes for the network to sync.
How can I check my application or enrollment status?
You can check the status of your Lifeline or ACP enrollment by visiting the SafeLink website and clicking on "Check Status" at the top of the page. You will need to enter your Enrollment ID or your Social Security Number and Date of Birth. If your status says "Pending," it means your documentation is still being reviewed by the National Verifier.
How do I check my remaining data, minutes, and text balance?
The simplest way to check your balance is to text "USAGE" to 611611 from your SafeLink phone. You will receive an automated text message with your current balance for the month. You can also check your usage by logging into your account on the SafeLink Wireless website or by using the "SafeLink My Service" app.
Can I keep my current phone number with SafeLink Wireless?
Yes, you can transfer your existing phone number to SafeLink. When you start the activation process, choose the "Transfer Number" option. You will need to provide the account number and Transfer PIN (Port-out PIN) from your previous provider. Keep your old service active until the transfer is officially completed to avoid losing the number.
