Trump Mobile recently launched a new phone plan called "The 47 Plan." For $47.45 a month, you get unlimited talk, text, and data. It also claims to offers safe link wireless discount phone service with it. But when you're thinking about the cost, there are a few things to consider.
One of the first things you'll probably want to do is compare the price to other phone carriers. For example, Verizon's Visible plan offers unlimited talk, text, data, and hotspot for just $25 a month. Mint Mobile's 12-month unlimited plan costs as little as $30 a month. That's why Trump's plan might seem a bit expensive compared to these other options.
Trump Mobile says its plan has "5G Overages Available" and "Same Coverage as the 3 Nationwide Phone Service Carriers," plus US-based customer service. However, the telehealth service costs an extra $29 a month, and it's not clear whether Trump Mobile subscribers will have to pay for this.
The "T1 Phone," which is also part of the Trump Mobile lineup, costs $499. It has a gold-colored back with an American flag on it, and gold metal accents. Trump Mobile says it's "Proudly designed and built in the USA." While it might be worth the money to some people, the price is pretty high compared to other smartphones.
Beyond the price, there are also ethical questions to consider. Some people have questioned whether it's right for someone who used to be president to use their power and fame to make money. They've also looked closely at the business practices of the Trump Organization.
